Biography

Katie Moore is a native of Smithsburg, who made her stage debut at the age of three. Katie is a 2013 graduate from the University of Maryland College Park with Duel Degrees in Dance and Theater. During High School she was an active dance company member of Artistic Dance Center (2007-2009) competing in dance competitions. In 2008, Katie was a background dancer for ZZ Top during the Orange Bowl Half Time show in Miami FL, working closely with hip hop choreographer Shane Sparks from the hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance?”.

Katie has worked as a choreographer throughout high school and college. She is also a 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 Lorrie Award winning choreographer for her choreography of Grease and Damn Yankees. A founding member of UMD’s Delta Chi Xi, Honorary Dance Fraternity Inc. Gamma Chapter; dedicated to Community Dance Education and a Alpha Lamda Delta & Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society Graduate. Katie recently worked with Walt Disney Entertainment in Orland Florida Parks as a Character Performer and dancer.
